    This is a 152-acre site (including streets, 116-acre excluding streets) under single ownership in the southwestern part of the City. The existing site, developed between 1941 and 1951, contains 3,221 housing units with various height limits ranging from 130 feet to 40 feet. The owner of Parkmerced has submitted applications to the City for the long-term comprehensive re-design, re-development and improvement of the site.
