ARS Role:
This project was a new construction of the $1.9 billion airport international terminal. ARS provided code consulting coordination with local Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ’s), permitting, and construction administration for coordination of inspections. This project presented extreme coordination challenges due to the number of AHJ’s with regard to egress requirements. The enormous size of the designed spaces resulted in issues related to smoke control, emergency planning, accessibility and fire apparatus.
